Defence Sector - Our Experience


Over a fifteen-year period, Wallace Walker has completed work on a number of major projects for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Defence Equipment and Support organisation (DE&S) and industry, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), prime contractors and service companies.

We had a significant role in the successful implementation of the Future Defence Supply Chain Initiative (FDSCi) endorsed solution, acknowledged as one of the largest and most successful organisational and logistics transformation programmes within the MoD, and have recently been engaged on the current DE&S Logistic Commodities Services Transformation (LCS(T)).  We have also completed commercialisation and business transformation work for a number of MoD arms-length businesses, including the Defence Support Group (DSG), the former Defence Aviation Repair Agency (DARA) and ABRO Trading Funds, and the UK Hydrographics Office (UKHO).  Our work on "public to private" transformation has also involved us in the sale process for a number of these arms-length businesses, including the current and proposed sale of the DSG.      

Our work with industry OEMs, primes and service companies includes major restructuring and transformation projects, such as the setting up of IPT-based and matrix-based organisations, high-level board facilitation to develop commercial strategies, preparation of business cases for MoD-industry joint ventures, and major cultural development programmes following acquisitions.  We have also been deployed to troubleshoot in underperforming operating companies.
