Overview: Strategic planning for international expansion and growth.

Headlines: Working with the Executive Committee, Wallace Walker facilitated the development of a strategic plan aimed at transforming the firm into a leading multi-jurisdictional offshore law firm.  A key challenge was to win the support of partners for a strategy that would change the firm's focus from local to international, and where non-legal professionals would need to be accepted by partners as an essential part of the skills base necessary to pursue international expansion.  In addition, a young lawyers "think tank" was also commissioned by partners, aimed at tapping the intellect of the firm's brightest young lawyers to support this key exercise.  Such was partner commitment to this initiative, the young lawyers were invited to present their strategic review and preferred strategy at the partners annual retreat.

Measure of success: Today, this law firm is truly international with a significant presence and over 800+ people employed in multiple jurisdictions around the world.  It has twice won the British Legal Awards for Offshore Law Firm of the Year.
